    Region H

    Go east in Texas and it’s wetter. Go west and it drier. In this area, however, the demand will begin to exceed supplies in 2040. That seems a long way from now, but given the time to develop infrastructure, it’s not that far off. It’s going to cost about $20 billion to ensure that irrigation and public supply have the water they need.
