Region D
This region has a fair amount of water. For the next 50 years they can meet demands, with a surplus. This is sometimes called water rich. We think of it as water security. Because there is supply, the rest of water-poor Texas looks longingly at it. Even so, the region needs a $700 million plus investment. And if other parts of the state take some of their source, the region’s economic growth will be threatened.
